# Claude Code

Point Claude Code's Anthropic transport at KosCompute-hosted coding models.

Claude Code can use the Messages-compatible endpoint through environment variables.

Start Claude Code from the same shell. If the installed release uses `ANTHROPIC_API_KEY` rather than `ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN`, set that variable instead; do not set two different credentials.

KosCompute provides protocol compatibility with KosCompute-hosted models. Claude Code features that depend only on Messages streaming and local tool calls can work. Features tied to Anthropic-hosted model IDs, account services, or provider-specific capabilities are not implied.

Keep command execution approval and repository permissions enabled in Claude Code. Model tool arguments are untrusted until the client validates and authorizes them.
