# Aider

Use Aider with a KosCompute OpenAI-compatible coding model.

Set the key, then pass the OpenAI-compatible base and model to Aider.

aider --model openai/qwen/qwen3.8-27b
```

Some Aider and LiteLLM releases use `OPENAI_API_BASE`; others accept `--openai-api-base`. Run `aider --help` for the installed version if the environment variable is not recognized.

Choose a model that advertises tool calling and sufficient context. Keep repository commits enabled so generated edits remain reviewable and recoverable.
